The Saddlemire Homestead was built in 1885 by William C. Crary. In 1973, the Town of Knox purchased the property. It is currently a museum and a venue for programming and tours for the Knox Historical Society.

The society meets the first Tuesday of every month, except Election Day, at 7:00 pm in the Knox Town Hall.
The Saddlemire Homestead is open 12:00-2:00 on Wednesdays, June through August, for self-guided tours and research.
Free admission.
